Overnight Stay Overview
After the success of our Wilderness Camp during the September and October 2018 School Holidays, we are delighted to announce that Wildfest at Tidbinbilla is back for the Autumn School Holidays in 2019. You can experience Tidbinbilla like never before with the ultimate family sleepover at our Wildfest Pop Up Family Wilderness Camp in the picturesque ACT Park.
Explore this vast 54.5 square kilometre Nature Reserve with specially designed ranger guided activities that offer NEW ways to learn about the diversity of wildlife in this unique landscape, understand the culture of the traditional country of the Ngunnawal people and see the history of European settlement in the Tidbinbilla Valley.
The importance of our native flora and fauna in the natural world has never been more vital and Tidbinbilla runs one of Australia’s leading endangered species conservation and breeding programs with successful re introductions of the Northern Corroboree Frogs and Southern Brush Tailed Rock Wallabies back into the nature reserve. See these animals in the wild as mother nature intended as well as kangaroos, koalas, platypus, potoroos, wallaroos, possums, wombats, echidnas, emus, lyrebirds, turtles, sugar gliders alongside many other birds and reptiles, explore the diverse geography from the wetlands and Eucalypt forest to the mountains and get an insight into the vital work carried out by the ACT Parks & Conservation team.
We have designed this itinerary for the kids. Each overnight family sleepover package includes five of the listed educational activities as well as breakfast, dinner, campfire activity including star-gazing and roasting marshmallows and 6 metre Emperor Bell glamping tent accommodation (each tent includes real beds with quality bed linen).
